I can think of one use for this. As a reference librarian, it would be great to take over a student's browser when trying to teach them research skills during a virtual reference transaction.

I do not like the idea of this. They are taking technology a little TOO FAR. I would definitely not like to have this application on my phone.

Hmmm. Taking friend-stalking from Facebook to mobile devices. I wonder how long it will take for this technology to catch on. It does seem to be an almost silly replacement for just calling a friend, but hey, we all knew the GPS technology was out there.

wow thats cool but i feel as if there could be a lot of problems if both people start clicking around. But i guess it would be useful if someone was teaching you something on a different computer.

While I agree it is certainly an interesting concept and application, I have to agree with Jason that I don't clearly see the purpose of this app. One on hand it seems to be a place where hundreds of unanswered questions are just tossed around. On the other, though (and as you mentioned), it definitely has potential to spark ideas and debate. I'll be interested to see where this app goes and what it accomplishes. Right now, I'm not sure if I buy it.

I always enjoy hearing about what new applications Google has thought of, so I think this is very interesting. I think the coolest part about this is that you can type in any type of leader to get in contact with them (hopefully!)! I also think it fits our digital age today for people to vote on what questions are the most popular or most important. I hope that they really can have these questions answered!!

My guess for why they're ignoring the delay is probably related to all the prep-work they had to do for this event. They had a deadline, they're ready, and now they might as well change over rather than putting all their work on the back burner for 4 months.

wow. is there any other reason that they are ignoring his decision and going ahead with the changeover? I feel like there has to be something else behind that for that many stations to go ahead with the change...

I guess it also shows how much of a hold the media has over our country... and I'm saying that as a journalism major and a future part of that media.

This is an interesting view of copyright and the uses of the new Kindle 2. I do think that this could become an issue in the future if the new Kindle becomes incredibly popular. If it doesn't, I doubt that many people will pursue it. As far as whether or not I believe this is a violation of copyright, I think that the device itself is allowing it and if courts are going to deal with the issue, they should focus on the Kindle itself. I'm not sure that users can be at fault if the device is designed to function in both text and audio.

One of my friends has this application on her iphone and let me just say that it is creepy! Granted she has to give access to those that want to stalk her but still enough is enough! Stalking is becoming way incredibly easy and is being taken to the way extreme these days. As if Facebook isn't enough! I think that tracking someone on there phone is just a little too much, let people have their privacy! With things like Facebook and Twitter it seems as though privacy is going to be hard to come across in this ever changing technological world!
